PUNE: The state government’s centralised admission process for the 2009-10 master of business administration and management studies (MBA/MMS)
courses, will begin from January 15, with the launch of sale of information brochures-cum-forms for the MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2009‘.

The common entrance test (CET) for MBA/MMS has been scheduled for 2 pm on February 15 and the sale of application forms for the same will be held from January 15 to 31 at select post offices across India, including the General Post Office (GPO) in the city.

Online submission of duly-filled application forms by the aspirants will also be done simultaneously from January 15 to 31 at the designated application form receipt-cum-facilitation centres (ARCs).

According to details posted on the state director of technical education’s website (www.dte.org.in/mba), 207 institutes across the state including 92 located in the University of Pune (UoP) area of Pune, Nashik and Ahmednagar districts, are participating in the impending CET. This includes government-run, university departments and university-managed, aided and private unaided institutions offering MBA/MMS courses.

In the UoP area, 7,050 seats are up for grabs at the 92 institutes, according to statistics on the DTE website.

It is mandatory for the aspiring candidates to procure the information brochure along with the MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2009 kit’, which contains the application ID, password and important instructions for the submission of online application form.

The application form processing fee is Rs 1,150 each for Maharashtra state (general category), all India and J&K migrant candidates, whereas the same is Rs 950 each for the reserved category candidates. The fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

The candidates will receive receipt of payment of fees, titled candidate’s copy’, from the concerned post office and they are required to produce the receipt at the time of confirmation of submission of the CAP application form at the ARC. As such, candidates are advised by the state DTE to carefully preserve the receipt.

* March 26: Declaration of results of the CET on website www.dte.org.in/mba

* May 11 to 22: Enrolment for group discussion and personal interviews

* May 25 to June 12: Conduct of GD & PI at select centres

(Note: Candidates who have appeared or are appearing for the CAT/JMET/MAT/ATMA/XAT and aspiring for admission against the All-India seats are also required to submit the online CET application form.)
