DSC at a glance

The government on Friday finally issued the necessary order enabling the School Education Department to issue the notification for recruitment of 50,063 teachers to fill all the vacancies in the schools of the State.

The DSC 2008 notification, as it is called, will be issued by the department on Saturday. The Collectors will issue a notification simultaneously notifying the vacancies to be filled at the district level.Andhra Pradesh recruits teachers to the government schools through DSC.

Those who have completed D.Ed and B.Ed are eligible to appear for DSC.
Those who completed D. Ed shall be eligible for Secondary grade teacher who teach upto class 7.
The government of Andhra Pradesh to provide jobs to the unemployed youth and to fill the teacher posts at various schools in ap has decided to issue the notification for DSC 2008.

The notification will be released today and the entire process to be completed in Next year.

Now this year the govt of Andhra Pradesh recruit nearly 50,63 teachers through this notification.

There will be a written test followed by interview.

The upper age limit for DSC is relaxed.
The upper age limit for general category is extended from 35 years to 39 years and for SC/ST and BC categories it is increased from 30 years to 44 years.
